Debut solo long player from this Memphis powerpopper, 1977, busy time for Tommy, so-leading Prix, contributing to Big Star, Alex Chilton, the Scruffs…this long player released on Memphis local label Power Play but soon picked up for reissue on London with new title, an added song called “Fresh Matches” and corny sleeve art.

Even after positive reviews and a full-page ad in Rolling Stone, the album was mostly ignored, which is a shame. With Hoehn providing all the vocals, rhythm guitars and keyboards, writing or co-writing all the selections (one with Alex Chilton), this is definitely worth a listen for fans of Memphis’ lovable version of 70s’ powerpop.
